  The trick to efficient videotaping does not necessarily hinge on ideal filming conditions alone.  Experience, once again, dictates the proper times to attempt to capture photographs and videotapes.   "Dead time" can become extremely costly while the investigator surveys his or her object.  Extensive client interviewing will reduce, and oftentimes eliminate non-productive investigative time.

  Manipulating camera and videotaping equipment to adapt to certain environments will all but insure effective and informative recorded client data.  The investigator must know how to capture valuable information from areas including, but not limited to airplanes, boats, cars, businesses, bars, restaurants, residences, roadbeds, hotels and motels.

  This technique cannot be learned at the client's expense.  Utilizing investigators with extensive training and experience, such as police experience, will prove to be cost effective and highly productive.
