 Our investigators evaluate, detect, and then verify erroneous information in a police report.   We also know how to best illustrate deceptive and false evidence that may otherwise go unnoticed.  We pioneered the Vision Impact Graphics® system that allows us to project exculpatory (clearing) evidence in a high powered visual display during trial.

What is Vision Impact Graphics®?

Example 1:  The California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer testified that he had the defendant perform the field sobriety tests while standing to the right of his front fender.  He insisted that the test was performed on a dry, flat and even surface. The CHP officer was driving a Ford Crown Victoria, which is substantially wider than the Dodge Neon. 

The Dodge Neon was superimposed onto the shoulder for illustrative purposes.  When the jury viewed this media and realized that the defendant must have been taking the field sobriety tests in a ditch, an acquittal soon followed.


Example 2:  According to the arresting officer's report, the defendant failed to come to a complete stop prior to making a right turn.  Construction was underway at the time of this alleged incident and a right turn lane had been added which only required drivers to yield at this intersection.  Because the investigation was initiated within a day or two after the stop and subsequent arrest, the investigator established that the police officer was in error.  As this was, according to the arresting officer, the sole purpose for this stop, defense counsel was successful in having the case dismissed at a motion hearing.
Since environments frequently change, timing can be Critical in conducting investigations.


Example 3:How well are you telling and selling your side of the story?
In criminal cases, in spite of the court's direction to give no more weight to police testimony than other testimony, the plain and simple truth is that most jurors believe that police officers do not lie and would not exaggerate.  In almost every case that Vision Investigative Services evaluates, we detect, and then verify erroneous information in a police report.   We also know how to best illustrate deceptive and false evidence that may otherwise go unnoticed.
  Presenting evidence to a jury in civil cases using the Vision Impact Graphics® system all but insures that you will make your point and that the jury will remember those points during deliberation.  Can you imagine an evidence sequence depicting a plaintiff claiming severe back injuries resulting from an accident with your client and that very same plaintiff is water skiing or horseback riding?   This evidence is digitally projected onto a five or six foot screen and accompanies slides that might include medical charts and witness statements.
